hey sorry to contirbute to such a mess of a topic, but a few years ago, when i was still in public school, we had bess for an internet filter. to get past that i just went to Tools>Internet Options>Connection>Lan settings and i changed the port number from 8080 to just 80 i dont know if that will still work or not, probbably not but u can try. right now im trying to find another way to get past websense. i was typing gibeo.net after the url but now that is blocked as uncatigorized. we cant use proxy's or change the port number, we dont have acces to the lan settings.

i found another way to get around blocks. take the url you want to access go to www.google.com then language tools and paste it into the translate. Try german to english then try the link. It should bypass most blocks...
