NZXT Cryo S Aluminum Notebook Cooler

Introduction:

We have all found ourselves up at the most ridiculous hours of the morning trying to get in one last frag before we set in for the night. Sadly, running your notebook that hard for so long can cause permanent damage to the laptop. Thankfully over the years, many people have been investing their time and money into notebook coolers that make our extended “playtime” less painful and more enjoyable. Our friends at NZXT. made a very stylish notebook cooler for high performance notebooks. Hopefully the NZXT. Cryo S Aluminum Notebook Cooler works just as good as it looks.

With my notebook placed on the cooler and the fans turned on/off the temperature stayed consistently at 39C (102.2F)

Full Load-
Without the Cryo S my notebook ran at about 51C (123.8F) on the same wooden desktop.
With my notebook placed on the cooler and the fans turned off the temp. was 50C (122F)
With my notebook placed on the cooler and the fans turned on the temp. was 48C (118.4F)

Conclusion:

With a sleek and simple exterior combined with extra USB ports the NZXT. Cryo S Aluminum Notebook Cooler does its job and looks good while doing it. Remember, the Cryo S is a performance notebook cooler and strangely enough, I found that most performance laptops had much larger screens and would not fit on this cooler. The smaller laptops it would actually fit seem to be more mobile, and this cooler is not the best for carrying around (it seems too clunky and odd). BUT if you have a performance notebook around 15″ or smaller, I would highly recommend this for stationary use (I.E at home or the office).
